There's nothing quite like it. It's similar to surfing. It's similar to snowboarding. But it's not exactly like either of them. Get on a longboard, and you've got a kind of freedom I haven't been able to experience anywhere else.

February 20, 2013: Fun Music

Music is a very interesting and fascinating thing. It connects with humans in many ways. Songs can trigger memories, emotions, and thoughts for all of us. It can be exhausting to listen to music.

Sometimes you just need a fun song to listen to that won't make you think too hard or want to dance. At times like that, I'm grateful for the musicians like The Aquabats! who never really take themselves too seriously.

January 5, 2013 - A lot of things

I'm grateful for people who make moving to a new place new and exciting rather than scary.

I'm grateful for people who make being sick bearable.

I'm grateful for people who will distract you when you're getting anxious and check the mail twice a day.

I'm grateful for the rain and how it can always make me laugh.

I'm grateful for roommates who massage my feet.

I'm grateful for friends who give me hugs.

I'm grateful for the cafeteria for serving chicken noodle soup when I needed it.


I'm grateful for feeling grateful.

December 31, 2012: The Thanks Project

This blog has been a life-changing experience for me. I know probably wasn't too much fun to read, but for me, it was great. My attitude on life has shifted to an even more positive and humble one, and I'm looking forward to what the new year will bring.

I'll probably still be posting on here every once in a while. But I'm not going to hold myself to a thing a day anymore.
